Habyt has recently launched a new co-living space at 5 Kadayanallur Street in the vibrant Tanjong Pagar neighborhood. This 18-room space, known as Kada at Maxwell, is the flagship location for the company’s innovative Habyt Flex concept. This move marks a strategic expansion of Habyt’s offerings beyond long-term co-living options.
In August of this year, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong announced the company’s plan to add more short-term living options to its portfolio in Singapore. The first properties to debut under the Habyt Flex concept are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both of which were launched in August. Other properties under this concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen House by Habyt.
Kada at Maxwell offers a variety of room options, including en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchenette, allowing guests the freedom to prepare their own meals. Guests can choose to book rooms on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month option also available.

The Studio Deluxe at Kada at Maxwell boasts a stylish and functional dining area, perfect for enjoying meals with fellow co-living residents.
Wong explains that Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s commitment to redefine flexible living in Singapore and marks the next phase of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell start at $180 per night, making it an affordable yet comfortable option for travelers and those in need of short-term housing solutions.
Located in a beautiful 1920s colonial building, Kada at Maxwell offers a unique blend of modern comforts and historical charm. The three-storey building was designed by renowned architectural firm Swan & Maclaren and was one of the earliest modernist buildings in Singapore. Its original purpose was to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
The Oasis Lounge at Kada at Maxwell is a serene and inviting space for guests to relax and mingle.
The property was awarded to Bethesda Medical through a public tender launched by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) in September 2023. Bidders were evaluated based on bid price and the quality of their proposed concept, with SLA encouraging creativity and lifestyle concepts. Bethesda Medical’s strong focus on community building and connecting people with businesses proved to be the winning edge for their concept. The first floor will house 10 F&B offerings, while the second floor will feature a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working space. The third floor is home to Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell.
Residents of Kada at Maxwell can enjoy unlimited and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness amenities, including a performance gym, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs, and foot baths.
In the world of real estate investing, location is everything, and this holds particularly true in the bustling city-state of Singapore. It is a well-known fact that condominiums situated in central areas or those in close proximity to important facilities like schools, shopping centers, and transportation hubs tend to see a significant increase in their value over time. Prime locations such as Orchard Road, Marina Bay, and the Central Business District (CBD) are examples of areas where property prices have consistently risen. The demand for condos in these areas is also driven by their proximity to top schools and educational institutions, making them highly sought-after by families looking for a long-term investment opportunity. Wong adds, “By blending modern conveniences with the timeless charm of a heritage building, we are offering guests a unique lifestyle experience that goes beyond traditional accommodation.” With its strategic location, flexible room options, and premium amenities, Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell sets a new standard for co-living in Singapore.
